Blizzard
(II)
Real Name: Donald "Donny" Gill Occupation: Professional criminal, Mercenary Identity: Publicly known Legal Status: Citizen of the United States with a criminal
record Other Aliases: None known Place of Birth: Unrevealed, presumably in the United States Marital Status: Unrevealed Known Relatives: None Group Affiliation: Former employee of Justin Hammer Base of Operations: Unrevealed First Appearance: IRON MAN #223
History: Very little has yet been revealed about
the past of Donny Gill, the second Blizzard. It is not known
how he came to be employed by billionaire Justin Hammer
or how gill acquired a duplicate of the original Blizzard's
battlesuit. Possibly Gill was an accomplice of the first
Blizzard. Since Hammer financed the first Blizzard's reconstruction
of his battlesuit on at least one occasion, it is also possible
that Hammer owns Gill's battlesuit and allows Gill to wear
it in his service. The second Blizzard accompanied two other
Hammer employees, the Beetle and Blacklash, on a mission
to assassinate Clayton Wilson, the costumed criminal known
as Force, who had recently quit working for Hammer. Their
attempt was thwarted by James Rhodes, an associate of the
original Iron Man. The three Hammer mercenaries tried once
again to kill Wilson but were defeated by Iron Man, Rhodes,
and Force himself. The Beetle and Blacklash escaped, but
the second Blizzard was taken into police custody.
Later, Iron Man teamed up with the Blizzard and other criminals
in battling the Ghost. Iron Man the convinced the Blizzard
to leave Hammer's employ. As Tony Stark, he then began to
give Gill guidance for his future
Height: 5 ft. 9 in. Weight: 152 lbs. Eyes: Brown Hair: Brown
Strength Level: The second Blizzard possesses normal human
strength of a man of his age, height, and build who engages
in moderate regular exercise.
Known Superhuman Power: None
Weapons: The Blizzard wears a battlesuit containing microcircuited
cyrogenic units (micro-cryostats) that enable him to project
an intense cold through the ducts that encircle his gloves.
With the freezing units as full capacity, the Blizzard can
lower temperatureto twenty-bytwenty foot room from 68 degrees
Fahrenheit to 32 degrees Fahrenheit in thirty seconds. Also
integrated into the lining of his sleeves is a system of
flexible tubing that carries water to miniature electric
turbines in his gloves. By emitting the water at a mist
and freezing it with his micro-cryostat unit, he can create
snow flurries. By emitting it as a spray, he can create
sleet. By emitting it as a stream, he can create icicles.
By concentrating both gloves' power on a single stream of
water, he can create a super-dense ice dart, capable of
being flung with enough force to dent a half-inch thick
steel. The water and cold ducts are capable of shooting
a stream of snow with a maximum range of fifteen feet. The
Blizzard can encase people within ice, create an ice-shield
beneath himself, or create a barricade of ice.
The Blizzard's battlesuit is fully insulated so that he is immune
to the effects of his weaponry. He carries the electrical
power-unit for his microcurcuitry on his back.
