History: As boy, Alex Summers and his
brother, Scott, survived an airplane crash that left them both with traumatic
amnesia. Apparently orphaned by the results of the crash, Alex left the hospital
after two weeks and was placed in an orphanage in Omaha, Nebraska. Soon adopted,
Alex had little or no contact with Scott until years later. It was in college
that Alex discovered his mutant abilities to channel cosmic energy. Incapable
of controlling the shock waves his body emanated, Summers eventually became a
member of the X-Men, so that he could learn to harness and control the energies
within his body. Havok served as both a leader of the X-Men and its sister team,
X-Factor ... until an airplane explosion ripped him from his reality and placed
him in a dark-twisted world ... the world of Mutant X.
